    The Cubs have apparently said that Manny Ramirez will be a Triple-A player/coach for them.(?)(!)

    Don't think there are many that would argue the fact that the man knows how to hit, juice or not and can pass on some of that knowledge as long as he isn't passing any needles. A good majority of those in sports are willing to give out second (third, fourth) chances, though sometimes it really bites them on the ass.


    In doing my research for my Rays now and then thread I have been surprised where some of players have ended up, a good majority stick with the game in some form even if it is a very "low" level. It's just too hard to completely walk away.

    Maybe he can teach Baez that hitting HRs isn't everything

    I was just addressing the notion of him being a coach regardless of whether or not he's also playing with my original reply, as I figure the implied contoversy was a known steroid user coaching players.
