    Cubs Marlon Byrd Traded To Boston

    Byrd & 6.1M out of his 6.5 for Bowden & a PTBNL

    I'm hoping that PTBNL is going to be something pretty good with all that money sent to Boston. Probably a player taken in last years draft.

    No, no, no. Byrd was the PTBNL in the Theo compensation

    I do like this trade for both teams. Red Sox need help and the Cubs get some salary relief plus some pitching depth.
