I'm really starting to dislike Quade. The choices he makes on the field just make no sense.

1) Leaving Marmol out there to die last night. Once the game was tied, Marmol should have been brought out. You could easily tell that Marmol's stuff was flat on TV, so I can only imagine what that looked like on the field. He NEVER gives up three straight hits, let alone three straight hard hit balls.

2) Not giving a start to DJ Lemahieu in his first MLB series. What he is even doing up in the majors right now is beyond me. The kid is one of our top prospects and was tearing it up in AA, although his power hasn't developed yet. They called him up on Monday and he's only had one at bat so far. All while facing the Houston Fucking Astros.

Oh and SP Robert Whitenack needs tommy john surgery. He came out of nowhere this year and was owning hitters in A and AA.

Oh and SP Trey McNutt is dealing with a blister problem, OH and he was involved in some sort of collision.

Trading Marlon Byrd we won't have to eat shit. That is if he comes back before the deadline. And if eating money = prospects, I'll take it.

I never understood why people are so against eating money. You get rid of most of the money due, you open up a spot for a youngster(or someone deserving pt), and you most likely add a couple players to the farm. So what if your paying a fraction of what they are still owed?

All I was saying is that the Cubs would have to eat salary to move anyone and they still wouldn't get a top prospect.

I'm not so certain we couldn't land a top prospect by dealing Dempster or Wood(trading Wood will never happen, at least IMO). And I bet we could get a couple of top prospects for Zambrano if we ate some salary.

And by top prospect, I don't mean an organization's top overall prospect.
