Willis win makes Hendry look worse

Cubs general manager Jim Hendry didn't want to bother Dontrelle Willis before his start for the Florida Marlins on Monday night at Wrigley Field. But Hendry will seek out Willis today to say hello and have a brief chat.

Even though the trade of Willis in March 2002 for pitchers Antonio Alfonseca and Matt Clement might go down in history as the worst deal Hendry ever made, that hasn't stopped him from remaining friendly with the former Cubs minor-leaguer who got away.

Ehh, it was a bad trade in the end, but I don't care. Back then it didn't look too bad and Clement was SOLID.
