matt murton to the rescue
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.

cant play first. Most likely it will be Mabry and Walker playing first. I shudder to think how many errors will happen when aramis and cedeno start their airmailing.

but murton can hit... yes!
well, if it is walker, at least someone capable of sustaining good offense will be in the lineup. he just needs a step ladder handy to measure up to Lee

Dang, this sucks. He was just on Best Damn Sports Show earlier this week too (2 days ago?) swinging at a pinata as an attempt to "break the Cubs' curse". Talk about irony.
expected to be out 2-3 months since he has two fractures.

damn...that sucks...he's on one of my fantasy teams...hopefully Shelton will continue to do well because I was able to pick him up a week or two ago.
This is rough. The Cubs best hitter right now is Michael Barrett.
Aramis needs to get out of his slump and fast...
aint that the truth.
I dont think he will be back until the Break (pardon the saying)
hopefully someone steps up to the plate.

Wow, the Cubs are absurdly unlucky...

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
Ouch... BIG time loss!
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett
I was listening to the score (Chicago sports radio for those out-of-towners) and it sounds more like 12-14 weeks with rehab stints and everything included, so don't expect to see him back until after the all-star break. I'm thinking if Dusty plays this right, he'll have Walker at first base, have Hairston/Neifi platoon at 2nd base. Regardless though, HUGE blow for the Cubs. I actually feel sorry for their fans (rare moment for me).
per Marc Lancaster's blog:
MILWAUKEE -- Want the definition of an April injury that could impact the entire division? Try Derrek Lee missing 8-10 weeks with a broken wrist.
The Cubs have tried to become more of a run-manufacturing group this year, but this is going to put a heck of a lot of the burden on Aramis Ramirez, who probably isn't going to get many good pitches to drive. Yes, Wood and Prior may be back soon, but it's hard to trust them to stay there, given their track records. This one really could cripple the Cubs.
