B: Moore (ATL), Antonetti (CLE), LaCava (TOR) have all pulled their names out of the running

That seems to leave Beattie (no), Bowden (HELL NO), and who else? My goodness, this sucks. Can't they just reconcile with Epstein somehow?

The Red Sox have yet to return the favor to Beattie for trading Pedro Martinez to Boston in exchange for Carl Pavano and Tony Armas. IIRC, didn't the Expos prefer Brian Rose over Pavano?

Well, for as much crap as I give the Red Sox front office (Henry, Lucchino, etc.), I truly appreciate what JHenry just did. I lurk on the SOSH board simply because the statheads have some great insights, and I've been watching over there and someone started up a 12 questions for John Henry thread, I think mostly for fun. He actually came and answered some of the questions, sort of like Curt Schilling a couple years ago around this time of year. He took the blame for a lot of things and on the whole it was a huge defense of Lucchino, but still, that takes some guts.
