    Red Sox Will Ellsbury be a 30/30 man this season?

    Jacoby Ellsbury stands at 15 home runs after today, and has 28 steals. He'll have the steals part of the equation done and over with soon, but will he smack another 15 home runs for the rest of the season?

    Another player with an outside shot at 30/30, that's even more random than Ellsbury. Jeff Francoeur. He has 13 home runs and 15 steals. Francoeur can go on a week or two week tear at times, so it's not out of the realm of possibility he cranks up the long ball. Especially if he is dealt, and dealt to a hitter's park. But the steals? He had a little over 20 for his career going into this season. He could top that just this year.

    I voted that he falls short. He has been a great surprise this year but don't see him reaching the 30 HR plateau. I wish him the best though because I like Ellsbury and its good to see him on the field again. Last year's absence really hurt the Red Sox. I say he finishes with 26 HRs.

    MLB Network just had a trivia question saying Ellis Burks is the only Red Sox to have 20 HRs and 20 SBs. That seems hard to believe given their looooong history.

    Ellsbury now sits at 22 HR and 32 SB. I said 26 would be all he hits and that appears to be dead wrong here pretty soon.

    It's not over till the fat lady sings, I say he still get it barring any injuries. He's one of the most surprising players this season after an injury plagued year last year.
