Josh Beckett showed some mild concussion symptoms Monday after he was hit in the head by a flyball.
Beckett was struck by a stray batting practice knock while shagging flies in the outfield. The Red Sox have sent him home from camp for the day and will check on him early Tuesday morning. For what it's worth, the Sawx don't seem all that concerned at the moment.
Just another example of why baseball is a dangerous game. Hey Beckett, pay attention!! Shagging flies is about the easiest thing in the world to do. You can dick around, shoot the shit but you have to pay attention. Not hard dumb dumb! He should be fine going further.
