FOX Sports' Jon Paul Morosi reports that the Red Sox have agreed to a minor league deal with Dennys Reyes.
He'll get $900,000 if he makes the team, with incentives that could push the value of the deal to $1.4 million. Reyes had a major league deal in place with the Phillies earlier this offseason that fell through, so he'll have to settle for a minor league deal. He lands in a good spot, though, as the Red Sox are unsettled on the left side of their bullpen. Reyes, who held a 3.55 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 25/21 K/BB ratio over 38 innings in 2010 with the Cardinals, will compete with a host of relievers for one of the final spots in the pen.
