BC boy wants to get closer to home. Seems like a decent fit to me.

I guess its a good time for a Northwest type of guy to want to go home when there is a team in the market, with cash and the desire to spend it. Bay would definitely change the complexion of that lineup (and maybe even the AL West.)

Seattle is one of the few teams that could afford to have Bay in the outfield, with Gutierrez's God-like range. Or they could just DH him if Branyan doesn't sign.

Ichiro has range still too. So Guiterrez can play more to the left center realm anyhow. I think he would fit nicely.
