Yes he did. The night before there was an incident where he slide into Iwamura and Joe Madden did not take a liking to it and Madden was yelling acroos the field at Coco in the dugout. Then in a pregame speach Madden was asked if this was over and he had no comment on the question. Then Shields hit him. So all those things most likely had something to do with him charging the mound. I really thought he was just going to go to first after he dropped the bat than it looked like something snapped and it was all over from there. Still from what I saw Jonny Gomes may get the stiffest fine in the whole mess.

Good job by Coco in getting out of the way there. And at least they tackled each other afterwards.

one last comment about the brawl, i love how manny and ortiz are nowhere to be found. they're probably sitting on the bench laughing their asses off

Haha, Cocoa had a game plan. Came in hot, stutter stepped, leaned out of the way and connected with a mean swing right before getting tackled.
