Sounds like a great game for the Japanese fans and the American fans that woke up at 4am to see it. I don't like our games being played over there but I get what they are doing. It also sounds like the A's need to plunk Manny Ramirez to send a ****ing message. He just stood there and watched the ball. He does this all the ****ing time!! The A's need to send a message tomorrow because it is classless and not needed in the sport. It's game one asshole!! Manny can still be Manny but have to pay for it. If he doesn't stop, start plunking the guy behind him. Emil Brown did **** the A's over too!Manny Ramirez had a pair of two-run doubles, the second breaking a tie 4-4 in the top of the 10th, as the Red Sox beat the A’s 6-5 in the 2008 season opener Tuesday in Japan.
Ramirez thought his blast to right-center off Huston Street was gone and was barely out of the box by the time it bounced off the wall. Still, no one is going to complain about Manny being Manny when he’s driving in four runs a game. The win ended up going to Hideki Okajima, who worked a scoreless ninth. Jonathan Papelbon closed it out, though he needed some help. Emil Brown doubled in a run with one out, only to get thrown out trying to take third while Daric Barton came around to score. The A's had two more hits afterwards and would have at least tied the game
