I guess Nance is a solid defender. Clarkson is not, so he fits the Cavs model well. So this clears some monies for LAL going forward right? I don't remember Clarkson's contract. Doesn't seem like this does anything for the Cavs except kicks one bad apple out of the pile (IT), leaving only a 10000 other bad apples in that pile.

Weird. Random. This seems like it does LAL more good going forward, clearing payroll and getting another pick to turn into something decent since they have solid luck with later first round picks (of course, the Cavs could continue to plummet..)

isaiah is a volume scorer, that does nothing else. he needs the ball in his hands, which obviously wasnt a fit on a lebron led team. i think he ends up becoming a 6th man off the bench, ala a jamal crawford or lou williams, a guy who can dominate the ball on heavy defensive units for a couple minute spurts. he was in a perfect fit last year with boston, as he was allowed to run wild with the ball, as the other 4 guys played solid fundamental basketball. it skyrocketed his value, and ainge cashed it in.

evidently he wasnt meshing with that horrible cavs locker room, and the cavs were playing league worst defense with isaiah on the floor. the unprotected 1st rounder was the real get for them, but isaiah was supposed to be a ton more valuable than this.

Hes also no way recovered (or anywhere close) from his hip probs, he's not explosive and has no bounce, so he's also been shit on offense

IT is damaged goods. Trade becomes meaningless if Magic can't convince anyone worthwhile to sign to a max deal, and all they accomplished was to be a feeder team for contenders, a la the 1990's Clippers.

for right now though, you have to enjoy the fact that the cavs themselves opened up the second max offer spot for the lakers to get lebron and pg13. or whoever as the second body.
