Ingram is sharp... it shouldn't bother him too much. He played HS about 30 minutes from my home and I have been hearing about him for 6 or 7 years. His brother was a good player there too. I think they have won 3 state championships in the last few years. He plays some good defense too if you watch him.

on a night in-night out basis, youll absolutely be able to compete. it has the makings of a fun young team to watch. you dont have enough depth to be a playoff team though, presuming that was really what you wanted to know.

Pretty much. You can say the same for just about every other lottery team, that they have the makings of a fun young squad to watch. But then reality sets in when you see our guys aren't giving any effort on defense, letting the game get away early in the 3rd quarter, and sitting behind the arc and throwing up hail mary 3's because they're out of answers.

Great point, Mofo. I am a big Duke fan and was really hoping Ingram would land somewhere other than the Lakers. Just not the biggest fan of the of the Lakers.. Going to be tough to root for him in a Lakers jersey.

Lakers clean house. Magic replaces Jim Buss as President of Basketball Ops, GM Mitch Kupchak and PR guy John Black (LOL okay) are out, and Kobe's former agent, Rob Pelinka, is set to replace Kupchak.

I don't see this working out if Magic is effectively the de facto GM and starts making the kind of rash stupid decisions that we fans have come to expect from unqualified former star players. I'll give it a chance if he lets the smarter dude Pelinka do his job.

I don't know if Magic is your typical "unqualified former star players". Magic has quite the extensive business resume.

A first rounder for a guy that was not part of the future is a good first start. Plus it helps tanking to prevent Philly from getting another lotto pick

He's been successful in his business ventures because he doesn't pretend to know more than the people whose expertise he leans on. Basketball is where he always thinks he can do a better job than the people in place, and look where that got him in coaching.

I almost would rather they bite the bullet and give up the pick this year if it doesn't land in the top 3 than be talking about this same scenario next year, only the pick will have lost all protection.

Phoenix tanked to get better odds at a higher pick than the Lakers and still fell to #4. Haha.

For $495 those shoes better have been made in the Balls' garage than in some Chinese sweatshop also pumping out Kobes for Nike.

Per The Bleacher Report, Lonzo underwhelmed in his workout with the Lakers. Fuck yes.
