Re: 2012 NBA Playoff and Draft Talk

atrocious interview for mkg with andy katz... hes either very nervous on camera, or dumber than a brick.

oh, jay williams said he has a stutter, and that hes fine when the camera isnt on him.

kendall marshall's standing vert, not so good. running vert, a little better. tony wrotens standing vert seemed pretty solid on first view, but in comparison to marshall and rivers, he blew them out of the water. marquis teague's running vert was pretty ridiculous.

brad beals standing vert was real nice. probably a little better than wrotens. rivers' running vert wasnt as good as teagues, but better than marshalls. and wroten looked faster in lane agility than marshall. beal struggled with lane agility... he fell down once, and then got dq'd or something on the 2nd one they showed. jeremy lamb looked very fluid... thought wroten mightve been a touch faster though.

beals 3rd run at it didnt look very good... wroten and lamb looked solid, marshall looked slow, beal just looked sloppy.

well espnu's coverage is over. my winner is andre drummond.. his size and athleticism at the center position is gonna be a PROBLEM. i think tjones and royce white showed theyll be able to hang at the 4, and i think john henson will be a legit defender in the pros.

guys are raving about meyers leonard, i didnt get to see him yesterday because it cut off, but he did look quick in drills today. it seems also, that damian lillard is the no debate number 1 pg. marshalls athleticism or lack there of, isnt really a shock to me or anyone else, so i dont think it should hurt him too much.

    a couple rumors...

drummond's vert was a 38, and barnes' was the highest of all the wings. interesting.

You know, the Dwight Howard comparison's are pretty good. Dwight quit on his team many times this past season, Drummond quit on his...

    Hyuk.

I'm just thinking how hilarious it could be if he falls to the Kings and they take him. Biggest, most temperamental PF/C combo ever?

yea... didnt see much of his workouts, they didnt show him too often, but today jay williams, russillo and fraschilla were talking about him a bit. how he was really productive in college, probably an early 2nd rounder. he had one of the higher body fat percentages though... but so did draymond green, and they were all raving about the shape green showed up in.

and thomas robinsons vert was supposedly a 35. his combine numbers are showing maybe he is a 4.

Jones was 20/10 for one of the worst WVU teams I've seen in quite awhile. Relentless player, definitely improved offensively this past season. Always tough on the glass, offensive glass particularly.

I'd like to see him stick. If Trevor Ariza Ebanks can stick in the NBA..

he only measured in at 6'7 and change with shoes, thatll hurt him, since most of what i saw of him... his skill set is almost purely a 4. but yea, fraschilla was talking about how kevin jones got big easy player of the year consideration, and probably couldve got it if west virginia had anything else going for it.

I never pictured Rod Strickland being a coach.

I don't really understand Ford's mock with Sullinger going to New Orleans. At that point, they'll have Davis, Jason Smith, Carl Landry, Gustavo Ayon, Emeka Okafor's unmoveable body and contract... shouldn't they burn the 10th on..I dunno, say, a wing with skill since Gordon and Ariza get hurt just when the wind blows on them?

a point guard would also be pretty nice since the only one on their roster is jarrett jack. and hes not exactly envoking thoughts of chris paul.

They're solid PGs. IF they're healthy, they have solid players at every position, go two deep. But they're so injury prone and I have no idea who constitutes as a leader for that team.

I need to sift through the blogs and find my favorite draft prospects blog and see how that went.

Jeff Taylor is surging on this season's. Not more than Darius Miller yet, but close. Close.

I do hate myself for the first guy. But ecstatic that I nailed Faried and Parsons.
