ray allen dunking on bosh = fantasticism
i love how they cut to doc rivers' huddle under the impression that he was gonna say something profound and brilliant to lead his team. instead he said "go as hard as you can, i got timeouts if you need a rest". thanks doc... the fantastic thing is, youre still a better coach than the opposing teams coach in both of the rounds youve played so far. doesnt say much for spoelstra and d'antoni.
then again, for doc's coaching acumen... the celtics playing delonte west with under 3 minutes to go in the biggest game of their season = awesome. him knocking down a game tying triple as well? my goodness.
chris bosh with a superb tip in off the bron miss makes it a 5 point game, and then DELONTE WEST misses a 3 with 20 seconds to go, that pretty much seals the game, and likely the series, for miami. id like to amend doc being a better coach than spoelstra... theyre equally bad. biggest moments of this game, and they had delonte west and jeff green on the floor [i actually didnt mind green on the floor, but i had to accentuate my point]. i understand rondo's hurt, and hes a liability as a jump shooter... but rondo cant be covered by anyone on the court as a penetrator, and the whole purpose is to kick out to allen or pierce for 3. and delonte west... fuckin really? you shouldve just felt blessed after he knocked down the 3 to tie it at 81, and called it a day with him. ugh.
speaking of the best coaches remaining... id like to make the case for lionel hollins. carlisle has a proven track record, and thibodeau's body of work is too small but what he did this year as the head coach, and as the defensive coach for boston, he gets some recognition... but the job that hollins did this year is outright superb. zito spelled out this memphis team a couple posts ago... and lionel hollins not only put it together, but made it work to the point that they look like championship contenders. seriously... zach randolph and tony allen are the leaders of this team.
at the very least, scotty brooks looks like a complete dolt after this series. then again, russell westbrook is doing everything in his power to help that.
You're being sarcastic, right?

man, that post is from 3 years ago too... good to see doc's improving his speeches.
we cant stop zbo and gasol at all... lets go small and put daequan cook on the floor, who has no interest in the defensive side of the floor. zbo and gasol have 26 of the 41 points. we wouldnt want ibaka and perkins next to each other, to maybe have a chance at getting a stop every now and again.
sorry scotty, putting durant on zbo isnt going to help that cause at all. time for a new game plan perhaps?
Combine Mohammed and Collison to form Nizick Collammed, a 450lb mocha tinted beast, to sit on Randolph. Or call Eddy Curry to sit on Randolph.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

naturally, once i made that last post... thunder go on an 12-3 run, with a lineup of westbrook-harden-cook-durant-collison. maybe scotty brooks is smarter than some guy drinking jack daniels, mindlessly yelling at his tv.
Who is Westbrook playing like tonight? Starbury or Russell Westbrook?
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?

fairly certain he hasnt passed the ball yet... but hes getting to the rack at will. they cant stop his penetration.
why is ish smith on the court? did battier and allen die in between the 1st and 2nd quarters? so much for lionel hollins being the best coach remaining in the playoffs.
