wade misses the 2nd! 82-81 mavs, 29.3 to go.
wade misses the 2nd! 82-81 mavs, 29.3 to go.
dirk with a sexy layup, dallas up 3. went WAAAAY too early, 14.4 for the heat to tie.
wade takes the easy 2, miami is gonna play the foul shooting game.
stojakovic in for chandler i believe to shoot free throws. jet gonna take the free throws, 6.7 seconds.
hits em both... dallas up 3, 6.7 to go
This is going to end up going 7, isn't it

and lebron ends up never touching the ball in crunch time.
with the way these 4 games have been, i hope it does go 7. every game has been unbelievably exciting so far... a great finals.
17 for jet, 15 for marion, 13 and 16 for chandler, 11 for stevenson and 8 for barea... they finally came to play
things we learned...
wade was not only the focal point of miamis offense for the last quarter and a half, but he was also more or less playing center on the defensive end. he was not covering dirk of course, but he was the backside protection on penetrators. wheres lebron on either end of the floor? and where was bosh on offense down the stretch too? 16 points in the first half, 22 midway through the 3rd as far as i remember... finishes with 24.
dallas switched up its crunch time lineup, going with deshawn stevenson instead of marion, likely for somebody who could knock down an outside shot. it ended up not mattering, as nobody on dallas hit an opener jumper in crunch time anyway. thats gonna have to be solved.
and finally... the raved about miami defense, which does have its moments of brilliance, no question about it, let up an unbelievable amount of open jumpers. this shouldve been a 15 point game, dallas just has no consistent shooters evidently [aside from dirk, just to clarify before someone says something]. and dont think dallas is getting this game from chandler or marion on a consistent basis either. theyre gonna need open shots to be knocked down, chandlers not pulling in 9 offensive boards again.
oh yea one more thing... miami DOMINATED dallas on the glass, when anthony was in the game instead of haslem. dallas DOMINATED miami on the glass, when haslem was in the game instead of anthony. dirk picked up 10 of his 11 boards [all on the defensive end admittedly] in the 2nd half, and chandler was clearly the best rebounder on the floor when anthony was off the court.
Love it! Go mavs! Cuban's got the entire Dallas medical force on dirk!

thoughts zito? id just like to retort to what you say, since i already said i thought it would be a nice move for philly, and a not so nice move for gstate [that was before i knew for sure mark jackson would be the coach, for the rec].
[im full out assuming youre a sixers fan, but i really dont know for sure... feel free to correct me]
No, I don't have an allegiance to any specific team actually. I'm more of a player guy. Anyways, the 76ers don't need Ellis but still, he and Holiday would be almost as awesome as Curry and Ellis. Too bad there was some supposed rift between those two, they're a lot of fun to watch. I personally think if it happened, it makes more sense for the Warriors cause of Iggy's versatility and ability to defend people. Plus he can score when necessary, he just should never shoot threes often. Or at all. Curry-Iguodala-Wright-Lee-Udoh could push .500 if Jackson turns out to be a competent coach and Udoh doesn't suck a bunch. They could also draft a decent rotation player.
76ers should throw in Meeks too, just to free up playing time for Lou and Thaddeus Young. Unless Meeks is a FA, then nevermind. Holiday-Ellis-Young-Brand-Hawes? Or swap Speights with Hawes. Or make Brand disappear, and go with Holiday-Ellis-Turner-Young-Hawes. That would be fun.

Honestly, I probably watched more Warrior and Suns games, than any other team. I still wouldn't say either are my fave.

As much as I think the Heat are still going to take this before game 7, I have to agree each game has been pretty exciting up to this point. It kind of reminds me of March Madness with all the games going down to the last shot.
Exceedingly exciting trade rumor for the Clippers, hammer:
