NBA officiating will remain a joke until they grow some balls and realize to call the games the same at all the time and to not have a bias towards the stars.

if memory serves... wade layup and 1, wade 3 and 1, lebron 3, lebron step back jumper, bosh 2 free throws. and all the fouls called in the sequence, were reasonable... at least to me.
I wasn't referring to just last nights game. Pretty much the whole season, including the playoffs.
NBA refs suck ass at their job.
Oh you poked LeBron or Wade? That's a foul. Yet Rose get's smacked around 3 times on a drive to the hoop, but no call.

I think as fans, it's so easy for us to criticize refs, umps, and officials in sports. But I am not the only one in the world that feels like the NBA refs are universally the worst and most frequently inconsistent.

I heard on the radio a few weeks ago during Dallas's first round series, when this one particula reff officiates Mav's games, they were like 0-14 lol

so as expected, minnesota is in talks to deal the number 2 pick, to cleveland ironically. detroit is also involved, and seems to be using the 8th pick to eliminate rip hamilton. i guess detroit isnt all that enthused with any of the talent in the draft. kanter at 4 and burks at 8 would be a nice little draft for minnesota... rubio/flynn, burks/johnson, beasley, love, kanter/DARKO.
from what ive heard, which doesnt matter if this trade happens... cleveland has valanciunas ahead of kanter on their draft board, and if williams goes 2 to anyone, then theyd probably take jonas at 4.
and utah is evidently very big on the jimmer bandwagon again.
take this for what its worth, but supposedly reggie jackson has a promise from boston at 25. he pulled out of a couple workouts, so it seems to be gaining steam... but its not out of the question he goes higher than 25 anyway.

before i start another mock... i wanna share a gem i just read...
"One player said Chauncey Billups, especially after he got injured, did far more coaching on the bench and in the huddle during the playoffs than (Mike) D'Antoni, and "made a helluva lot more sense.""
fantastic. so thats why they picked up the option on chauncey... so he could be the player-coach. d'antoni is a dolt. phil jackson in 2012!
hypothetical mock v4.... with the basis being that the cleveland/minnesota/detroit trade is done (which its not). evidently detroit wants a player in return, which is whats holding it up from being completed. i think itll get done though, thus why im moving ahead and doing this mock. not sure what theyd get... maybe the foreign big man from minnesota, pekovic. they need a center, and assuming minnesota drafts kanter, theyd have a logjam... of sorts. if you consider pekovic and darko a logjam. hell... maybe detroit will take darko back! bring the world full circle. that or the 20th pick.
1. cleveland - kyrie irving, pg duke
surprise!
2. cleveland - derrick williams, sf arizona
surprise pt 2! you know, alot of credit to cleveland for pulling this deal off [if they do]. its considered a weak draft on depth, with only 2 potential star players [i disagree on williams being one of them, but who am i]. so what does cleveland do... they go out and get those 2 potential star players. nice move. it took luck in the lottery of course.
3. utah - brandon knight, pg kentucky
for the record, this is the guy i think is the second POTENTIAL star player. theres alot of room to grow, but i think his ceiling is higher than williams or kanters. utah needs a point guard, it makes sense. the utah gm has loved him for a bit, and without derrick williams on the board to give them a choice, its a no brainer.
4. minnesota - enes kanter, c turkey
ive liked the fit the whole time, they pick up an extra lottery pick, and can escape the scrutiny of passing on williams. not bad kahn, not bad.
5. toronto - bismack biyombo, c congo
on the fence with leonard, he might drop a bit after only 3 reps at the combine, where, at least i, figured he would be one of the stronger guys there. so they go the next best route, the best defensive player on the board, and allowing them to move bargnani to his more reasonable pf spot.
6. washington - jan vesely, pf czech republic
also on the fence here, with alec burks. give them a guy on the perimeter to play some defense with wall... especially since crawford and young are so similar [aka volume shooters that dont understand passing or defense, though crawford at least attempts the defensive part]. but, i still hear washington loves kanter and vesely, so unless for some reason utah wants to risk brandon knight and makes a trade, washingtons not getting kanter.
7. sacramento - kemba walker, combo guard uconn
yea, ive said all along, i dont like the fit, and i think evans and walker are similar players. that said... bpa. cousins may end up stabbing one, or both, but theres really no good fit here anyway, unless they wanna go leonard to off set what casspi and greene do at the 3.
8. minnesota - alec burks, sg colorado
love the fit [i said that about 100 times over the 4 mocks about burks]. rubio as the playmaker, burks and johnson as defensive stoppers, kanter being gasol/bogut, beasley being insane, and kevin love doing the dirty work in the paint. nice little core.
9. charlotte - kawhi leonard, sf san diego state
gerald wallace jr! minus the few offensive skills wallace had. leonard could end up becoming a similar player though.
10. milwaukee - chris singleton, sf florida state
still like the fit, especially on a scott skiles team.
11. golden state - jonas valanciunas, c lithuania
yea, i caved, jonas ahead of donatas. evidently alot of teams like jonas... like i said the other day, [supposedly] cleveland had him 3rd or 4th on their draft board, ahead of kanter. its gonna take 2-3 years for him to become a pro though, if ever. first i was hearing he was gonna pull out of the draft altogether, now i read that his agent said that jonas is gonna stay in the draft, but play overseas next year, then come over. not that thats anything new... have we seen fran vazquez yet?... but i cant see him going much higher than this with all the stipulations.
12. utah - marshon brooks, sg providence
unbelievable length, could be a lock down defender, and he can score the ball. with knight being the face of the franchise and controlling the ball, it will limit brooks' heat check moments, which on an overmatched providence team that mightve been the 2nd worst in the big east, brooks was the only capable scorer. and yea... sorry utah fans, no being taught how to jimmer today.
13. phoenix - jimmer fredette, pg byu
the second best fit for jimmer. he proved at the combine he has enough athleticism to survive, and more than enough speed to be capable at the nba level. now if only hed figure out what defense is. nash, jimmer, lopez, gortat and grant hill... the best white out in modern nba history?
14. houston - marcus morris, sf kansas
all things considered, this is a fairly deep team. i just went bpa as a result, another scorer off the bench, that can stretch teams out.
15. indiana - jordan hamilton, sg texas
scorer off the bench, they dont really seem too enthused with brandon rush, and lance stephenson... god only knows.
16. philadelphia - donatas motiejunas, pf lithuania
ive read a couple reports the last couple days, that say its pretty much a guarantee philly goes foreigner at 16. well... motiejunas is the only one left.
17. NEW YORK KNICKS - tristan thompson, pf texas
we need somebody who understands the concept of defense in the paint in the worst way. itd be nice to get a true center, but theres none left. itd be nice to get a true point guard to groom behind chauncey, but theres none i like. obviously, we're not gonna need thompson to score down there. just get up and down the court, block some shots, grab some rebounds. play the hustle game, and have enough hands to catch a pass for the occasional open dunk [sorry ronny].
I've heard of that three team deal as well, but I'm reading that due to the potential lock out, Detroit is not as motivated to dump Rip with the pick right now unless they get players back. Hey, Minnesota could give them Flynn and Cleveland could give them Manny Harris!... oh wait. Anyways. That would be neat, a team with the first two picks of the draft. Too bad it's such a bad draft.
And with Minnesota's two picks at 4 and 8, they could take.. Kemba Walker and Jimmer Fredette!

On the subject of the scrutiny of passing on a specific player, was the consensus that Antawn Jamison was the better Tar Heel the reason Toronto didn't simply take Vince Carter with the 4th pick and even toyed with the idea of trading down to Dallas' 6th pick (which would have been dumb since neither Jamison nor Carter would slide past the 5th pick), even though Carter was the guy they wanted all along?
