On a personal note, I had an opportunity to meet this man a couple of years ago coming home from the Hall of Fame induction weekend. He was genuinely gracious and willing to talk about a lot of subjects. He showed respect for his fellow HOFers and they reciprocated.
Rest in Peace, Earl. You were a great one. Condolences to family and friends.
