Is Jeremy Guthrie a Sleeper???
Guthrie has started 38 games as an Oriole
0 earned runs allowed - 2 times
1 earned run allowed - 8 times
2 earned runs allowed - 11 times
3 earned runs allowed - 10 times
4 earned runs allowed - 2 times
5 earned runs allowed - 4 times
6 earned runs allowed - 1 time
He is comparable to Tim Lincecum and Roy Halladay according to Baseball-Reference.
Many seem to feel that his best pitching is in the beginning of the season...

Re: Is Jeremy Guthrie a Sleeper???
I wouldn't go as far to say he is comparible to Lincecum or Halladay, but he is a reliable pitcher.

Re: Is Jeremy Guthrie a Sleeper???
I like Guthrie but I would like to see more consistency. He's like Matt Cain is that regard. Great stuff but one game he will last 8 innings and will last only five three games in a row.

Re: Is Jeremy Guthrie a Sleeper???
Jeremy Guthrie was a steal for the Orioles to get him from the Orioles as he has produced well over his expectations. He is far from a front line starter as the Orioles are using him at, but he has handled it to the best of his ability. He would be more suited for the middle to back end of the rotation.
