"For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."
Yeah, I saw this on Rotoworld and they said he'd probably be the worst pitcher in the AL for the rest of the season, but I like this move, especially from Russ' perspective, rejoining Mazzone.
Mazzone can't hurt a pitcher, but he sure as hell can help them.
I love how my Ortiz thread died so quickly!

I like this move. Ortiz is reunited with Mazzone, and will only be paid the prorated amount of the veterans minimum. He is a warrior, with a never say die attitude, and while it does get him into trouble when pitching, it would certainly do some of our younger pitchers good to see how he pitches. He can also be an asset helping out with some of the younger pitchers. Nothing is really lost by doing this, while we do stand to gain from it.
