Tejada: Will he stay or will he go?
According to the Baltimore Sun, the Orioles are "unlikely" to trade Miguel Tejada.
Like just about every veteran hitter, Tejada has been linked to the Angels. On the other hand, the Washington Post reports that the team might be willing to listen to offers.
At this point, and from pretty much any point through most of his career, Tejada is a big trade piece. He hits very well and fields very well at a generally weak offensive position. I wonder why the Angels would want him since Cabrera is (gasp) actually hitting for the Angels.

This would have to be a blockbuster dealing, which in other words the Orioles want at least Jared Weaver in this trade.

I'm sorry but WHAT is the trade value of this guy.....seriously......?!?!?!?! I mean he may as well stay in Baltimore.....what would he gain from moving?!?!?!?!?

The Orioles aren't going to trade Tejada. All teams listen to offers, but that doesn't mean that anything short of being grossly overpaid will move the team to trade a player.
First, the Orioles have no depth for a long-term replacement. Melvin Mora can play short, as can Brian Roberts, but there are no long-term prospects coming up in the minors at 2B, or SS. At 3B, its debatable whether Tripper Johnson can bounce back or not.
Second, it will certainly have to involve that replacemant shortstop, and a top of the rotation starter, which few teams have laying around to give, or are willing to give. The Orioles have plenty of young, top pitching prospects, so a guy like Weaver won't mean much. The O's would love to have someone to put at the top, with experience.
