Got something on your mind? Angry at a managerial or front office decision? Post here if you have anything to say about the Orioles, no matter how random it is.

I cant help but laugh at that intentional walk hit by Miguel Cabrera against the orioles in the 10th.

Im not the Genius that traded for Brandon McCarthy. And my name is certainly not John Gibbons...
Wow, Loewen had a nice start in AAA. Just hope he's not the AAAA player, and rather a competent arm for the O's who desperately need pitching
Adam Loewen allowed two hits in seven scoreless innings Thursday in his first start since being demoted to Triple-A Ottawa.
He struck out seven and walked two. Loewen was in Double-A Bowie before being promoted to the majors last month, so it was his first ever Triple-A start

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
It is extremely difficult for any pitcher to make the jump from AA to the show, especially if they have been injured and sitting for the past few seasons like Loewen. He's over those injuries now, and looks like he did back when he was the fourth overall pick. Give him some time in AAA, and he'll be back in September and next season, ready to climb the ladder to his place at the top of the rotation.Originally Posted by Fishercat

Was Tejada the O's only rep this year?

Yep.....the only one. Hernandez is the other guy who has a shot, but with Hafner and Liriano, that doesn't look likely. I've even said it myself, I would vote for Hafner, because he really got shafted by Guillen, since he picked his own guys.Originally Posted by Fishercat
We are not short former Orioles however:
OF Gary Matthews Jr
SP Mike Mussina
CL BJ Ryan
SP Curt Schilling (might as well throw him in....he's deserving than most of the guys there, and will likely get the call when half of the pitchers don't want to come)
If we want to make this more interesting, players the Orioles had locked up in FA or trade, but booted away because of Angelos being cheap:
C Ivan Rodriguez (twice)
OF Vladimir Guerrero
SP Barry Zito
1B Nomar Garciaparra
Gotta love Angelos. That has to hurt.

Oh, and what the **** happened to Red Sox Killer #3 Rodrigo Lopez?
Rodrigo Lopez was torched for nine runs in 2 2/3 innings by the White Sox on Tuesday.
Lopez is the fifth pitcher this year to reach 10 losses, but he's the only member of the group in a major league rotation at the moment. Since he had a reasonable 5.06 ERA in June, this disaster of an outing probably won't result in his immediate demotion to the pen. Still, the Orioles should be looking to try something different.

Not looking good for Ramon Hernandez in the Final Vote...I think he's dead last in the AL voting...

Benson to the DL, but not for long.
Could be off the DL Thursday and may pitch 2 days later.Benson, who was placed on the DL retroactive to July 26, has taken shots of novocaine and cortisone in his injured joint. He said that scar tissue in his arm may be causing the discomfort, and he sounded convinced that it's not a long-term problem. Benson has seen two doctors, and neither has given him cause for alarm.
And to add a bit of sting to that, former Oriole John Maine is scorching with the Mets
John Maine lasted six innings to extended his scoreless streak to 23 innings Sunday night in a win over the Phillies.
Three times the Phillies had two runners on base with just one out against Maine, but they never could capitalize. Now that Maine has a permanent rotation spot, he shouldn't have to worry about starting on 10 days' rest again, like he did tonight. He's not going to keep pitching like this, and we'd have a hard time recommending him in mixed leagues. Still, he's a fine play in NL-only leagues right now.

Wow, Baltimore's been hot lately. They're killing the Blue Jays for their 4th straight win today. What's gotten into them?

That 15-0 win was, I believe, the second largest shutout since the team moved to Baltimore.
Of course, Roy Halladay stonewalled them later for his 16th win, but still, nice.

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Jeff Conine was traded to Philadelphia from the Baltimore Orioles on Sunday, a deal that provides the Phillies with a solid right-handed bat and veteran leadership in their drive to earn a wild-card berth.
The Orioles sent Conine and cash to Philadelphia for a player to be named. The deal was completed during the seventh inning of Baltimore's 5-4 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday.
I've always liked Conine, and it will be weird seeing him play AGAINST the Marlin for a WC birth
