How do you rep someone?

I looked in the faq, but I still didn't figure it out.

OK, at the bottom left of each post, you should see a check mark, and possibly a stop sign/exclamation point, and a click box. To give rep, click the blue check mark. Make sure a pop-up can go through, it sometimes affects that
