that's weird...I've only given a couple negatives and they were for personal attacks or offensive posts, not for other people's opinions just because I don't share the same one...

Uh guys, I know next to nothing on this reputation system. I looked in vB Options for a feature to turn something like this on and I didn't see it and the user reputation manager as well with no luck. If Ted or BD know how to do this and want to, they can feel free to.

And for the record, I have given out a total of 5 reps (two today to test out if Admins can rep twice in a row which they can, everyone else must spread rep to one other person before giving rep to a poster again):

About spreading rep around: Tedc changed it, I asked him about that a little while ago. You can now give reps to the same user multple times, without having to spread it around.

is there away to just turn the rep off altogether since it seems many people are getting upset by it?

I just say ignore it. Use it if you want to, if you get negitive rep, don't worry about it. It is more a reflection on the person who is giving it out anyway.

Oh those are reps? Whenever I get into my user cp, I show those messages (for rep), I thought that I subscribed to those threads or something, so I am getting updates for them. How can I check my rep history? I have 2 recent one, I suppose, but 11 points, not sure what that means.

Each individual person can turn off rep in their user cp. Under options click "no" to "show rep".

Rep points go up and down based on who is the one giving them to you -- The "rep power" listed by your name is how many points your rep is worth...The # in your user CP is your actual reputation points that you have earned.

I'm not sure which settings Ted & Mission set on the users here, as far as how often you can give rep & how you can increase your rep power (at the nfl-side, your rep power goes up depending on how long you've been a member, how many posts you have, how active you are, etc.)

I will fix the anonymous rep deal...
