    Braves Andruw Jones named Sporting News Player of the Year

    In an award voted on by the players, Andruw Jones was named The Sporting News Player of the Year. He received 194 1/2 votes to Derrek Lee's 126 votes.
    Albert Pujols (63), Alex Rodriguez (38) and David Ortiz (35 1/2) followed in the balloting
