D-Backs agree to unload Justin Upton to the Braves

The D-Backs also sent third baseman Chris Johnson to the Braves for pitcher Randall Delgado, infielder/outfielder Martin Prado, minor league shortstop Nick Ahmed, pitcher Zeke Spruill and third baseman Brandon Drury, according to multiple sources.

Good move for both teams. Both teams dealt from positions of strength and, possibly, too much depth and filled positions of need. The Braves pick up a very good outfielder and trade 3Bs and the D'Backs get infield depth and more pitching.

Spruill is the only top 10 prospect(from BA) moving to Zona in the deal, but I like the deal from their side a little bit better.

Delgado should fit in to Chase field well, and Prado's gap hitting will play there, too. Atlanta gets an all star RF, but downgrades at 3B(not a Chris Johnson fan at all.)

Apparently, Nick Ahmed is being packaged in a deal to Detroit for Rick Porcello...

Ugh, I hate the Braves. The last time they had an outfield this good was when they got Gary Sheffield when they already had Chipper and Andruw (before he got fat).
