I'd say my thesis was proven true. Fans tend to overrate their own...
How many hits does Adam Dunn had in the playoffs?

No. And I saw your argument on that other location. The individuals you were arguing with are among those who have done EXTENSIVE research about how Runs score and how good Dunn is at doing those things that lead to Runs being scored. They have had their analysis published in several of the more well known baseball books.Originally Posted by Sea Ray

Dunn doesn't win games with his glove.
Dunn didn't carry his team when everyone was on the DL and their prized offseason closer acquisition turned to goo.

You have no real stats. to prove anything against what I've shown about Dunn, so you have been relegated to deflecting the issue toward something that is out of Dunn's control, such as "carrying a team while everyone was on the DL".Originally Posted by Kingdom_of_Zito
The Braves have won more than the Reds this year because of much better pitching. It has nothing to do with Dunn not being good.

Okay, Mr. ****ing Statboy:
Using PrOPS:
Rank First Last Team PrAVG PrOBP PrSLG PrOPS OPS
1 Derrek Lee CHN 0.315 0.399 0.653 1.052 1.186
2 Andruw Jones ATL 0.298 0.376 0.610 0.986 0.930
3 Albert Pujols STL 0.317 0.402 0.583 0.985 1.017
4 Adam Dunn CIN 0.260 0.400 0.570 0.970 0.935
This is not mentioning the fact that it is 3 times as easy to find a power-hitting LF than it is to find a power-hitting CF.

Braves pitching hasn't even been as good as it can with Hudson, Hampton just coming back and the bullpen really choking hard at times this season. Also throw in the fact that it's a lot nicer to hit in Cincy, opposed to Turner Field.

Stats aren't everything. I just want Cincy to realize that.

Jones is having a career year this year.
Looking at career OPS vs. career OPS:
Jones: .843 career OPS(age: 28)
Dunn: .907 career OPS(age: 25)

And Dunn had a career year last year, so ****ing what. Career year my ****ing ass; you're using that as an excuse. You're forgetting Andruw's 28, not 35.

Oh, we know that one. We finally got a healthy Griffey this year.Originally Posted by Generalissimo

Let's just say Jones and Dunn are equal as far as hitting goes...Jones is faster, better defensively, and plays CF. Dunn almost had 200 k's last year and has over 100 already. K's are wasted outs because you most likely won't advance runners, knock in runners, or anything. And Dunn is only 2 years younger; I'd take Jones if I had a choice between the 2 of them.
Actually, Dunn is having an as good if not better year this year than last year:Originally Posted by Generalissimo
