What's more likely...?: Braves edition.

The next team on my list is the Atlanta Braves. After a quiet offseason, the Braves may still be a favorite for a playoff berth this season, with the Cardinals and Brewers losing a couple key 1Bs.

Will last seasons disappointment carry over? Will Chipper Jones retire at midseason? Can Tim Hudson rebound from his offseason surgery quickly?

"Trades for a SS" ...wait, damn it, it's not an option?

I thought about making it an option that they actually sign or trade for a player, but I figure the Ronny Cedeno to Atlanta deal will be done before the voting is done.

Tough but had to go with Heyward. Health is the only thing holding him back.

I went with Heyward, as well. Again, a lot of likely scenarios, but I think him breaking back out is going to happen. I just don't know to what extent, I doubt he'll be a heavily hyped as he was in 2010, but I think he'll be an above average hitting RF.

I think the only way that Chipper retires mid season would be if he were injured, or if his knees just get to be to unbearable to continue. Obviously, either of these situations have a significant chance of taking place.

Doesn't look like Hudson will be back to full health as quickly as Braves fans had hoped. As strong as the rotation looks, I don't think Atlanta will be in any rush to get Hudson back into the rotation before he is fully healthy.

I think Tyler Pastornicky is going to work out just fine once the kid settles down a bit and gets used to being an every day major league player. He has played pretty well so far, with a few rookie mistakes, most of which were the result of the young shortstop trying to do to much. Pastornicky will be a role player in a solid lineup. Offensively, he will be expected to make contact, take walks and simply get on base. He has decent speed and good baserunning skills. Hitting in the 8th spot may be a little tough for him with the added pressure of clearing the pitchers spot. Defensively he has good range and a solid arm which should improve with coaching and improved consistency. He will be expected to play excellent defense, and score runs. I am looking forward to seeing him develop.
