    Thumbs Up Uggla's contract extension

    He can now buy us all drinks.

    Second baseman Dan Uggla has reached agreement with the Atlanta Braves on a five-year, $62 million contract extension, a league source told ESPN.com. The deal is pending completion of a physical exam, the source said.

    Its one more year than the Marlins offered so not a bad deal for the Braves. I have no idea what position he will be playing in the second half of this deal but I'm sure that power isn't going away any time soon.
