And that we have a pretty good OBP?
Only two guys have mediocre OBP that play a significant amount of time (Francoeur and Diaz)
Journeymen backups Ruben Gotay and Greg Norton have 14 walks combined, 7 each. Norton's not hitting shit, but he at least has a .400 plus obp in minimal time. Martin Prado and Gregor Blanco havea combined near .400 obp.. ok, Blanco, 83 ABs, 18 walks.. I like that pace (Chipper has 22 in 164 ABs, Texy has 23 in 163).
Yunel Escobar is currently hover over .380. Mark freakin' Kotsay has a .350 plus OBP. In fact, it's been since 2004 since Kotsay has posted numbers like he has right now. Andruw who? (OK OK, so few have had Andruw's range and Kotsay is offering up minimal power numbers, but he's doing swell enough that dealing Devine for him hasn't been a total asswiping).
As of now, Braves are 4th in OBP (hey, imagine if Frenchy had a decent one).. being only the Cubs, Cards, and Red Sox.
Only the mariners strikeout less than we do, by just 5.
And we stand as third in team average. Hey, despite all the injuries, not bad right?
