    Wannabe Turned Away at Camp

    Braves position players reported to camp Tuesday, but this was a stretch.

    In 23 years in baseball, Braves director of player personnel Kurt Kemp said he had never seen anything like it.

    Around 4 p.m., a young, non-athletic-looking man walked into the Braves minor league office, said he had taken a bus from Philadelphia to Orlando and was reporting to Braves minor league camp. No one in the office had heard of him.
    "For someone who was never meant for this world, I must confess I'm suddenly having a hard time leaving it. Of course, they say every atom in our bodies was once part of a star. Maybe I'm not leaving... maybe I'm going home."
