Braves signed RHP Tanyon Sturtze, who had been with the Yankees, to a one-year, $750,000 contract.
Sturtze would make another $350,000 if he spends one day on the Braves' 25-man roster, and he could earn $450,000 in bonuses based on the number of appearances he makes as a starter and reliever. We're not particularly impressed by this signing, as Sturtze has a career ERA over 5.00 and is coming off surgery to repair a partially torn rotator cuff. Still, the Braves aren't risking much and there's a chance he'll be a reasonable middle reliever.

Eh. I really can't complain because we're not paying him much, but still.
