That is, reading Andruw's statements on being waived, combined with the team's lack of performance lately, I've come to the conclusion that Andruw will be gone in the offseason.
That's a pretty depressing conclusion.

he could also go at next year's deadline since he's signed through 2007.
Yeah, but I have a feeling, and I hope I'm wrong, that he'll be traded in the offseason.

To me, I think its Chipper that should be traded, not Andruw. The younger Jones means more to the team now than the older.
****ing Christ, dude. Stupidest ****ing statement I've seen, and I've seen it made a billion times.
Think for a second: who would want a vastly overpaid, injury prone third baseman, who's old? Now think, who would be willing to give anything for him?

Perhaps the Royals or even the Devil Rays, in which he could be a DH. All I said was that Chipper ought to be the one leaving, not Andruw. However, when it comes to what's best for the team, Andruw's stock is at (or close to) its peak.Originally Posted by General

He is useless to other teams.
Got that?

Seriously, we won't get anything for Chipper. In fact, we'd probably have to pay half of his contract just to get him OUT.
I love Chipper, and he means very much to this organization. He's a very good player, when healthy, who does not have much trade value. Andruw, however, does.

Wouldn't be useless as a DH...
So Atlanta should move to the A.L.
He'll only be moved unless a team was willing to give up something like the Lester/Hansen/Crispies package. Which is a lot, obviously. I would say raid Anaheim's fridge, but they're so damn slow.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

By the way, if your outfielder spelled his name Andruw and everyone kept making threads and posts and spelling it Andrew, would you find it annoying?

I hope that is wrong also. I want both Chipper and Andruw to stay. They both belong on this team.

Chipper is one of favorite players in the MLB right. And here is my opinion on Chipper, it is time to move him to first base. You make less throws there throughout the year. He has a corner infielder glove, so to me that move makes sense and maybe try and trade Laroche. He may actually give you a little more trade value, for example, a stater and/or closer.. Just a thought... LaRoche (not sure how to spell without looking it up) is younger and he reminds a lot of Lyle Overbay, but a little more power.
Chipper won't move to 1B, I already know that. If it does than I'll be really surprised. LaRoche (you spelled it right) shouldn't be traded. They have a great team already. For some reason the pitching was off, way off this season. Sosa was awesome last year as a starter and Hudson and Smoltz were keys players for Atlanta.
Hopefully they can get everything together in the offseason and come back next season and kick some ass.

Cool, Understandable. It was just a thought. Thanks for the info.
