Drew not ready for Opening Day

Diamondbacks manager Kirk Gibson said shortstop Stephen Drew (ankle) is likely to start the season on the disabled list.
"He's probably not going to be ready," Gibson said. "I don't know how long. Don't keep asking me. When he's ready, you'll know." Drew is still feeling a lot of soreness and tightness in his surgically-repaired right ankle. "I get the sense," writes Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic, "they're still hoping he can play in a Cactus League game, but it's not really clear if that's realistic or not."

It's amazing that the Dbacks made their run last year without Drew. Getting Drew back healthy would be a huge boost for the Dbacks who I already have winning the West this season.
