I would hate to work for the Dbacks. They fired a bunch of front office people to cut costs and now the CEO resigns. Rough stuff!Diamondbacks CEO Jeff Moorad resigned his position on Friday and will be replaced by team president Derrick Hall.
No word yet on what spurred the change, but it's possible Moorad was frustrated with the team's unwillingness to spend and recent management cutbacks. Moorad, a longtime player agent, assumed the role of CEO in Aug. 2004, replacing Jerry Colangelo.
