Simple contest here folks. I just updated the profiles with several cool new functions like, a music player, activity feeds, a complete revamp of the blog, plus more. I want to see profiles created and fleshed out, people making friends through the network aspects, trying the blog out, making styles, etc. To enter the contest, Post a Comment on my profile and make the comment private (when posting, all you have to do is check a box so only you and I can see it.) Continue networking and editing and on Friday (the 29th) after 6 PM, I will post a poll of all those who entered by posting a comment I will create a poll for all those entered and then the forum will vote on the best profile for a $25 prize via PayPal thanks to Zoints.

If you have questions, shoot, otherwise post the link to your profile if you want to enter.

Easy money goes to the victor and most of us don't even bite.

Hey there fellow forum members!!! I need some MAJOR help. I do not know how to get a picture to post in my profile, or list my music, and my interest. I am sure I will have many more questions to follow after that!!!

To edit, first get into the editing mode. To do that, go to your profile, and below Profile-Blog-Network-Forum Profile is a menu of dropdowns. Go the profile menu and select Editor Mode Advanced.

Then to edit your picture, click the little wrench to the right of Photo. From there, click browse to find your picture and then click Save Changes.

To add music, first you need to find some music (try this link: Web 2.0 Mashup: Best of the Internet Today) Then click the wrench/edit icon to the right of XPSF Music Player and put in the link for the song under the section for track #1 (plus any additional fields you want to fill in.) Then save it.

To add interests, click Add Interest and a little box should pop up, from there type an interest and click Add... it should then show up.

As for My Network Activity, this is a block that will show what everyone in your network has been doing. So once you add add friends to your profile (and they accept your network invitation), when they post a blog entry or update their style and so on, it will be posted to your Network Activity.

Really? Hmm, I use Firefox exclusively (version 2.0.0.12) and I don't have any troubles with it. Are you using a beta release of FireFox? I've used 3x in the past and it was kind of buggy.

I'm using 2.0.0.12 as well...I dunno. I click add, the box pops up, I type whatever the interest is, and then hit enter...but it doesn't get added to my profile.

Alright, just making sure. Thanks for the info and I'll see if I can't replicate it. Anyone using a FireFox 2 and had luck or not with the interests block?

I updated my interests and I'm using FF v2.0.0.12.
