Flashchat added to S3F

BlueDamsel was kind enough to set that up for us last night. It's pretty fun if you just want to shoot the breeze without posting.

We still have to look into tweaking it, but right now it does the job for sure. Up next to your log in button you'll see the link for it.

Just checked it out. Very nice. I like it.

But with that said, I'm not a very big fan of chats, and you may not find me in there much. That's just me. It's quite a nice looking chat.

I'll be in there a lot. Nicest chat window I've seen in a while. Hate those cheap java chats that hardly ever work.

You may need macromedia. If I'm not msitake. Or maybe some other type of software. It worked perfectly for me. Maybe mission or someone else can correct me on this.

I think so. But I would contact somebody that knows more about this chat, like missionhockey. He's on. So I would PM if I were you before I download anything.

Just a few little featurettes:

~At the bottom of the forums index (http://www.strike3forums.com/forums/index.php) you'll notice that under the "who's online" box, there is now a "who's chatting" box. This will tell you if anyone is in there, and who it is, so that if there is a person you don't particularly care for, you can avoid them, or whatever!

~You can completely customize your window in there. If you want to use one of the pre-installed themes, there are plenty to choose from. I am currently working on putting in team-themes for the NFL chat, and if Mission & Ted decide, they can set up team-themes for over here as well. To change your background, click "Options", then choose a different theme. If you do not like the picture that is included, you can turn the picture off and just use the colors.

~Not everybody's font color goes with every theme. If you are dead set on a theme, and you cannot read other people's fonts, go to options again, go to the "font" tab and set it to "use my font color for everyone." Then you can also change the size of how you see fonts, and the style of font.

~You can turn off the sounds in options as well.

~You can move the user list and the entire options box from one side to the other (options box/text box to the top or bottom) depending on what you prefer...
